Sony HSR CCTV

Before Digital Video Recorders (DVR) or Network Video Recorders (NVR) became the choice for new and retro fitting to existing systems SONY brought out the HSR-1 followed by the HSR-2 system that both use a hard drive and a tape to archive footage. The only problem is that the tape format isn't VHS or even S-VHS but a full size DV tape and you can't view or demultiplex the images unless you have a SONY HSR system. So what can you do?
