Met Pol- Officers mown down by escaping looters

CCTV footage showing the attempted murder of two police officers as they chased looters during last week's disorder has been released by detectives in the hope it will encourage people to come forward and identify those responsible.

The officers were mown down by a green Citroen driven directly towards them at high speed in Royston Avenue, E4, whilst they were dealing with reports of a group looting the 'Aristocrats' clothing store on Chingford Mount Road, E4, amid the violence and disorder seen in the area last week
