Connect Outlook to your social media tools

Users of Microsoft Outlook can now have it linked to their social media tools. I'm using it with LinkedIn but it can also work with Facebook,  MySpace and Windows Live Messenger. The benefit of having the tool installed for me is that I can see if the sender is on LinkedIn and if they are it will show their picture and other details about them. If I'm not connected to them then I can send an email to them to invite them to connect. Although I have only linked the tool to LinkedIn I would expect that the same features are available for the other social media sites that you can connect to. the other great thing about it is that it can show all of the email correspondence you've had with that person, meetings etc. The only down side to it is if the search tool in windows has not indexed your emails correctly. This is a known bug and there are plenty of details on how to fix this on the internet. get it here Outlook Social Connector
