Ever wanted to open a URL in a specific browser?

I often want to open links in emails in a specific browser but my default browser would always jump in and take control. This was annoying as some links won't work in Firefox correctly and prefer IE or I like to keep all my social media windows in Chrome. I found Browser Chooser http://browserchooser.codeplex.com/ written by Jan Ole Peek could do exactly what I wanted and the ability to set selected URL's to always open in a selected browser is very useful.except it is designed for post XP operating systems.  So if your not using XP you don't need to read any further it should work without any further work from you just follow the install instructions.
XP users read on. The way browser chooser works is to become your default browser from which you can then select the browser to open the link in. Unfortunately I found that this would work for the first link but then revert back to firefox as the default browser. Jan is aware of this issue and a search on his page http://www.janolepeek.com/browser-chooser pointed to a program that will solve this issue for us XP users, as he states you don't need to do any of the other stuff like change to config.ini file. The program is DefaultBrowser download here http://windowsxp.mvps.org/defaultbrowser.htm once you have installed this use the 'For other browsers....' option to point it to the BrowserChooser exe and now it all seems to work perfectly.
